New NCBI BLAST function for primer design

I thought this would be of interest to the community. The BLAST site at NCBI now has a specific page for the design and testing of PCR primers (click here). It looks to be quite sophisticated if necessary (there is a pull down menu for more advanced options).

Is it possible for you to add a search function in your blog? I am trying to trouble shoot fuzzy bands and would like to be able to search for keywords.

Thanks

PS If there is a search function that I have missed please feel free to point it out!

Hi Sam -
I will see about adding a search function. For the moment, if you open the website in Firefox, you can search by "Control-F" (for find) and type in the term you are looking for.
Cheers,
Stefan

The primers should have similar melting temperatures since annealing in a PCR occurs for both simultaneously. It is very good for knowledge. Thanks
